These organizations share Sallie Mae's values and are committed to providing innovative education solutions, services, and increased access to students across the country. These foundations include:
- The Sallie Mae Fund, formerly known as the Sallie Mae Trust for Education.
- Lumina Foundation, formerly known as the USA Group Foundation.
- KnowledgeWorks Foundation, formerly known as the Thomas L. Conlan Education Foundation.
- College Spark Washington, formerly known as the Education Assistance Foundation.
- Nellie Mae Education Foundation.
- Helios Education Foundation.
Since 2001, The Sallie Mae Fund has conducted more than 800 free Paying For College workshops across the country
