Impact

As part of the Deficit Reduction Act, Congress extended the PLUS loan program to graduate and professional students. Sallie Mae was one of the first private lenders to participate.

We made the complete online application process with e-sign capability available to graduate and professional students just two days after the U.S. Department of Education released the information needed to finalize it.
