LICENSE: Submittant grants Sallie Mae a non-exclusive, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to reproduce, distribute and publicly display his or her Story and/or Photograph, as well as Submittant’s name, city and state, in promotions and other publications in any and all media throughout the world, in perpetuity, for any purpose whatsoever, without any compensation, the term of which shall be the entire life of the copyright. Submittant grants Sallie Mae the right to edit the Story and/or Photograph before they are used in publicity, promotions and advertising. SUBMITTANT WILL NOT BE PAID FOR HIS OR HER SUBMISSION or for granting Sallie Mae any of these rights. Submissions become the property of Sallie Mae, Inc. and will not be acknowledged or returned.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS: By sending a Story and/or Photograph, Submittant acknowledges that he or she owns all intellectual property rights that relate to his or her Story and Photograph and agrees to assign his or her intellectual property rights to Sallie Mae and permits Sallie Mae to use the Story and/or Photograph in any media for any purpose whatsoever.

OTHER: By sending a Story and/or Photograph, Submittant acknowledges that the Story he or she submits is accurate and that the Photograph he or she submits is of Submittant. Sallie Mae reserves the right to request additional information from Submittant.
