Eligibility

We partner with many different types of schools. If you are interested in determining your school's eligibility for Sallie Mae private loans, here's some general information about the criteria we consider, This is not an all inclusive list but will help you gain an understanding of the types of things we consider.

Submitting an inquiry form and supplemental documentation does not guarantee that your school will be eligible.
  • U.S. commercial aviation pilot school with primary focus on training commercial pilots
  • Provide the most recent three years of audited financials prepared according to U.S. GAAP standards
  • Have at least a 70% placement rate
  • Have an FAA license and Part 141 Air Agency Certificate

Complete flight school inquiry form

  • Be located in the U.S.
  • Minimum years in business: 3
  • Completion rate within 150% of program: 80%
  • Placement rate: 70% or better
  • Provide the most recent 3 years of audited financials prepared according to U.S. GAAP standards
  • CIRR membership or other audited performance outcomes

Complete coding boot camp inquiry form

  • Title IV or non-Title IV
  • May require the most recent three years of audited financials prepared according to U.S. GAAP standards
