Scholarships for Current College Students
Just because you’re already enrolled in college doesn’t mean you should stop searching for more scholarships and more free money to help pay for next year or next semester.
Scholarships are not limited to new students or your first year of attendance. New scholarships for current college students pop up all the time. Be vigilant about looking for them.
As you continue your studies and take on new extracurricular activities in college, you may now be eligible for scholarships you weren’t initially qualified for. Have you taken up a musical instrument? Are you volunteering for a worthy cause? Are you getting good grades? Don't forget to revisit college scholarship opportunities regularly as you progress through school or get more involved on or off campus.
Note: Obtaining additional scholarships may affect your other student aid, as all of your student aid added together can’t be more than your cost of attendance at your college or career school. You’ll need to let your school know if you’ve been awarded a scholarship so the financial aid office can subtract that amount from your cost of attendance. But remember, scholarships are free money, so you’ll be paying less for college.
